Anne Hathaway Goes Wild … for a MoviePosted on May 15th, 2008 @ 8:50 pm
Spotted: Anne Hathaway swinging from a rail, dancing and taking shots at over-the-top Chinese eatery Kowloon outside of Boston. But this wasn’t the case of a starlet-gone-wild. Hathaway was working, filming scenes for her comedy Bride Wars, which costars Kate Hudson. According to Stanley Wong, whose family owns Kowloon, “The scene was very funny. Basically [Hathaway's character]’s on spring break. She’s getting drunk and basically making a home video.” The restaurant, a favorite of local sports stars and visiting celebs, is outfitted with palm tree murals and running fountains – and was likely a stand-in for a spring break-like venue. Lauren Birmingham, the restaurant’s rep, tells PEOPLE the scene will be used in the film to sabotage Hathaway’s character who is getting married the same day as her friend (played by Hudson). But when the cameras stopped rolling, Hathaway was sweet as can be, Wong says. She even posed for a picture with him. Before filming, “she was really quiet,” he says. “And then she really got into the scene!”

Hathaway’s boyfriend avoids prosectionPosted on May 13th, 2008 @ 2:35 am
Actress Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend Raffaello Follieri will not be prosecuted for allegedly writing a bad cheque, after charges were dropped by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Italian businessman Follieri was expected to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday (May 12, 2008) following his arrest last month (April 2008) for allegedly writing a cheque for $215,000 (GBP107,500) to New Jersey businessman John Morrongiello. Follieri initially claimed the charges were a result of a misunderstanding, but according to Manhattan D.A. spokesperson Tracy Golden, the sum was reimbursed by 29-year-old Follieri and Morrongiello has decided against pursuing the case. This is not the first financial scandal for Follieri, who moved to the U.S. just four years ago. He agreed to pay $1.3 million (GBP650,000) to settle a lawsuit with billionaire Ron Burkle last month (April 25, 2008), after former investment partner Burkle accused him of squandering the sum to support himself.

Hoodwinked 2 Voice Cast RevealedPosted on May 7th, 2008 @ 7:45 am
Cory Edwards, director of Hoodwinked! and co-writer of Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil, announced on his Blog that “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere has joined the voice cast of the animated sequel, replacing Anne Hathaway as the voice of “Red.” Edwards, who again will voice Twitchy, revealed most of the voice cast in his post: Many of the original cast have returned. Glenn Close is still Granny, and Patrick Warburton remains The Wolf (very, very happy about that). Nicky Flippers will once again be performed by David Ogden Stiers. Andy Dick has voiced Boingo again (that’s right, Boingo is still around, as unstable as ever… but not the greatest threat this time). And yes, the goat is back. Japeth the singing goat will appear again, voiced by my good buddy Benjy Gaither. There are some brand new and very cool additions to this sequel. This time around, Red will not be voiced by Anne Hathaway, but by Hayden Panettiere, the “super cheerleader” from Heroes. This seems very fitting, since Red becomes a bit more of a “caped crusader” in this film. View the rest of this entry…
