Quoting Annie
“I gave up my struggle with perfection a long time ago. That is a concept I don't find very interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs. I think that is where some of the pressure comes from. Be happy. Be yourself, the day is about a lot more.”

Anne Hathaway:a big ‘Weirdo’
Broadway star Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway is set to star in a musical in New York’s famous Broadway theatre district. The Rachel Getting Married actress – who made her Broadway debut in 2002 show Carnival! – has reportedly been having closed door reading with producers of new musical Promises, Promises. Theatre website Broadway World claims: “We have just got an exclusive account of a top secret, closed reading that happened over the weekend. Our guest, who was invited by one of the actors, reports that there was a full table reading and sing-through of the musical Promises, Promises by Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. “The reading starred Sean Hayes and Anne Hathaway along with a full cast plus several background singers, and was staged by director/choreographer Rob Ashford.” The show bosses are believed to have been overwhelmed by Anne’s performance and excited by the chemistry between her and Will and Grace star Sean. The website added: “We’re told that Hayes and Hathaway stunned the audience with their performances (both singing and acting) and that they garnered many huge and consistent laughs throughout – as well as a few tears.” Promises, Promises is a comedy based on Billy Wilder’s 1960 movie The Apartment. It originally ran on Broadway from 1968 to 1972, with a total of 1,281 performances.
Hathaway Has a ‘Sexy’ New Mystery Man
Moving on from jailed ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, Anne Hathaway told PEOPLE she is crushing on a new mystery man. “This guy I know in L.A. is kind of doing it for me right now,” the actress told PEOPLE at the London premiere for her newest movie, Rachel Getting Married. “When I think of sexy, I think of him.” “You know when sometimes you don’t know someone very well – you’ll probably never see them again – but you just meet them and you’re like ‘WOW, you really have it going on’?” But the actress cautions that things haven’t gotten serious yet. “I’m totally single right now,” says Hathaway, who wore a blue Zac Posen gown and Bulgari jewels to the premiere, which was part of the BFI 52nd London Film Festival. “But I happened to meet a sexy guy the other day.” Hathaway’s due to spend time with another sexy guy – Johnny Depp – as filming starts for Tim Burton’s upcoming film, Alice in Wonderland, in which she plays the role of the White Queen. Is she excited to work with Depp? “Uh, yeah, ya think?” Hathaway, 25, told PEOPLE. “I hope I don’t faint. I’m wearing a corset which is difficult enough, but then to have to wear a corset and be short-breathed around Johnny Depp?” And her friends are buzzing with excitement at her upcoming costar. “I have so many people coming out of the woodwork who really have never wanted to visit me on the set before just want to kind of come and hang out,” she says. “Everyone just wants to meet Johnny. “It might be my hardest role to date – to keep my cool.”
Follieri blames his mistakes on … Anne Hathaway?
“The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” That’s what Raffaello Follieri’s lawyer had the gall to write in a letter to the judge on his client’s behalf. But maybe he should have written, “Anne Hathaway and her celebrity devil friends made him do it.” Follieri is due to be sentenced for various nefarious financial dealings on Oct. 23. His legal team is desperately trying to get a reduced sentence of three years. So natch, they have gotten lots of of folks speaking on his behalf about what a great dude he is and how he’s got a sick mom. Yada, yada, yada. But check out the letter with his character references and his lawyers’ explanation about what happened to poor Raffaello when he fell in with the wrong rich-and-famous crowd. His attorney writes: “When he was only 24 years old, this young man from a small city in the South of Italy found himself a successful international entrepreneur befriended by the rich and famous. In a brief period of time, he was socializing with some of the wealthiest and most successful people in the world. He was surrounded by movie stars and celebrities and this young man, who neither drinks nor smokes, became intoxicated with it all. Unfortunately, he lacked the resources to maintain the opulent lifestyle of his new friends. Even more unfortunately, he had almost unfettered access to hundreds of thousands of dollars with few controls on his spending ability, until it was too late. Soon he succumbed to the temptation. The result was a colossal error in judgment which has had a devastating impact on Raffaello and those around him.” Oh, puh-lease. His “new friends,” those darn movie stars and celebrities, made him embezzle money? Source

Hathaway mocks split on Saturday Night Live
Anne Hathaway joked about her ill-fated romance with rogue businessman Raffaelo Follieri during her appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend. The actress hosted the comedy show, and launched straight into the topic during her opening monologue. Referring to her beau of four years Follieri – who is awaiting sentencing on 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and money laundering – she said, “I’ve had a busy summer. “I did some travelling, I’ve got a new movie out… and I broke up with my Italian boyfriend and two weeks later he was sent to prison for fraud. I mean, we’ve all been there. Am I right ladies?” She then joked that she’d started a new relationship with an internet scam artist, “The experience made me feel pretty gullible. I was ready to swear off dating and then I met an amazing new guy. “We met on the internet. I don’t usually read letters from strangers. How often do you get an email from a Nigerian prince? He is such a sweetheart and he is pretty wealthy. He asked all about my family, and my social security number. “Yesterday was our one month anniversary. I know it’s sappy but I sent him something I knew he’d love. A mix-tape and $100,000.”
