Quoting Annie
“I gave up my struggle with perfection a long time ago. That is a concept I don't find very interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs. I think that is where some of the pressure comes from. Be happy. Be yourself, the day is about a lot more.”

Hathaway’s Oscars Afterparty Woes
Anne Hathaway was refused entry to an Oscars afterparty on Sunday night (February 27) – just minutes after she undertook presenting duties at the ceremony. The actress co-hosted the 2011 Academy Awards with James Franco, and after the show ended, the beauty headed straight to the VIP Governors Ball in Los Angeles to celebrate. But the strict doormen failed to recognise her after she forgot her invite, and she was forced to go to the venue’s ‘resolution desk’ to gain entry to the bash, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. A source tells the publication, “Anne couldn’t find her ticket. She was the Oscar host, and they still wouldn’t let her in. She was fumbling for her ticket, but security told her to step to the ‘resolution desk,’ where she had to explain who she was. Finally, they let her through.”

Anne Hathaway’s Oscar Joy
Anne Hathaway found hosting the Oscars “pure joy from beginning to end”. Although her performance with co-host James Franco at last night’s (February 27) Academy Awards was blasted, the “Love & Other Drugs” actress revealed she loved the experience of working with him at the Hollywood bash. She told chat show host Oprah Winfrey: “I had a blast. I kept waiting to become nervous. Everyone kept asking me, ‘Are you nervous?’The whole ride from beginning to end was joy, pure joy.” She added it was “fun to play off [James] with our two different energies.” While James did not appear on the talk show with Anne – citing a need to return to his university studies at Yale and NYU – Oprah praised the actress saying the “stars aligned” for her. Oprah told Anne: “You were great. I think all the stars aligned for you in that moment last night,” said Oprah. “It was like a big bang moment for your life and career.” Despite Oprah’s enthusiasm, not everyone was impressed, with BBC reporter Ben Sutherland blasting Anne and James for their lack of chemistry. He said: “The pair failed to find the chemistry that would lead to their partnership being remembered as a success – or indeed to be remembered at all. “At the heart of the problem was the lack of spark between the two. He came across as disinterested and she appeared to be over-excited.”

Hathaway Has Plan To Become Mum
Anne Hathaway has motherhood on her mind as she prepares to co-host the Oscars on Sunday (February 27) – she’s hoping to become a mum by 2016. “The Devil Wears Prada” star, who is dating actor Adam Schulman, dreams about having a big family and admits she has set herself a five-year deadline to get pregnant. She says, “I have no plans to get married currently, but it’s weird, I am getting to be of an age where I’m starting to think about motherhood and, because I’d like to have a large family, I’m like, ‘I have to have kids soon’. I’m imagining within the next five years, I will be a mummy.”

Fans of “One Day” complain over movie lead
It’s the romantic novel that everyone is suddenly reading – a word-of-mouth ‘sleeper’ hit that has sold more than 650,000 copies in Britain alone and counts the Duchess of Cornwall among its many fans. Loved, perhaps surprisingly, by men as well as women, One Day is a grassroots publishing phenomenon which hasn’t been seen since Stieg Larsson’s crime novels became unexpected international bestsellers. Inevitably, given the incredible success that has seen the book translated into 37 languages, the story is now being made into a film. But, equally inevitably, the news has sparked fears that the magic of the humorous novel will be lost in the big-screen translation. Fans are particularly worried that Hollywood beauty Anne Hathaway has been cast in the leading role of Emma Morley. The 28-year-old is, they say, too attractive and glamorous to play an awkward, working-class Yorkshire girl who ekes out a living as a fast-food waitress and a teacher in an inner-city comprehensive.

Hathaway Won’t Be Shocking Oscars Host
Anne Hathaway has promised not to mock other celebrities at the Academy Awards. The 28-year-old actress is set to co-host the ceremony with James Franco but says she wouldn’t feel comfortable poking fun at the nominees and other guests, and also doesn’t feel she has earned the “right” to do so. She said: “I can guarantee that if you’re looking for someone to call people out, we’re not your hosts. I think that humour is really difficult to pull off, and I’m not particularly adept at it. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it. “Also, I don’t mean to sound overly serious, but I am the youngest host in history and I have no business being cynical or calling anyone out. I certainly haven’t earned the right to do that.” “The Devil Wears Prada” star also admitted she only accepted the hosting role after James was on board because he eased some of her fears about presenting such a huge live show – though she claims she now worries about other ways the “unconventional” actor can wreak havoc with the format. She added in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: “I initially had a knee-jerk reaction, which was ‘no.’ I just focused on all the ways it could go wrong. “But (show producer) Bruce Cohen was a bit craftier than I had realised because while I was hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ in November, while I was loving the idea of hosting something and doing the song-and-dance thing, Bruce came back and said, ‘We have James Franco.’ “James is so brave and so willing to make unconventional choices. All the ways I was worried about it going wrong, it wouldn’t go wrong in any of those ways. It could go wrong in entirely new ways.”
