Anne Hathaway has urged her peers to enjoy “every second” of the awards season. The star picked up some tips from her time spent as a Best Actress nominee at last year’s Oscars for her movie Rachel Getting Married and now she is telling her showbiz pals to learn from her and others’ mistakes. “I don’t know how qualified I am to give any advice seeing as I have barely white-knuckled the award season myself. But I would just say enjoy every second,” she says. “The only regrets that I have were the minutes that I was too nervous to take everything in. Oh, and don’t drink too much!” Hathaway, 27, recently revealed that she loves attending showbiz parties. “It always feel like I’m going off to prom,” she has said. “I feel like my inner eight-year-old is at the best party of her life. Being an actor is what I have dreamed of my whole life.”

Anne Hathaway is to be honored by Harvard University. The actress will be named as Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year next month, in a ceremony where she will have to lead a parade through the streets surrounding the prestigious Massachusetts college. The legendary award is given to entertainers who have made a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment”. Although it is a prestigious award, Anne may be left embarrassed by what she may have to do to receive it. Last year’s winner Renee Zellweger was persuaded to put on a fat suit while the male recipient James Franco was made to milk a “gay cow” to mark his work in the movie Milk. Past recipients of Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year award include Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Charlize Theron. Men to be given the male honor include Clint Eastwood, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Bruce Willis and Christopher Walken. It has not yet been revealed which male star will take the honor this year.

20/12 Dunst Is ‘written out of Spider-Man franchise’?
Kirsten Dunst will be written out of the Spider-Man movie series after the next installment and replaced as the franchise’s leading lady by Anne Hathaway – according to U.S. reports. The actress has played Mary-Jane – Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s red-headed love interest – in three movies to date, and has signed to reprise her role in Spider-Man 4, which is scheduled to begin shooting next year. But insiders tell Star magazine Dunst’s character will be written out in the next movie. A source says, “The plan is for her character to be written out, probably by dying. “Anne will take over as Peter Parker’s new love interest for this project and for Spider-Man 5 and 6 which are being written now. “Anne’s in L.A. doing a lot of meetings on the movie, because filming is right around the corner.”
17/12 Hathaway involved in car collision
Anne Hathaway was involved in a car collision in Los Angeles on December 16, according to U.S. reports. The Devil Wears Prada star was travelling in a vehicle driven by her boyfriend, Adam Shulman, when they collided with a bicycle on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. Hathaway and Shulman were photographed tending to the unidentified cyclist, who was lying on the road beside the car. Paramedics were called to the scene but nobody was taken to hospital, according to RadarOnline.com.
14/12 Anne Hathaway making moves on Jake Gyllenhaal?
Hollywood good girl Anne Hathaway has been getting chummy with Jake Gyllenhaal following the hunky star’s recent split from his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. The pair have apparently grown “extremely close” while filming their new movie Love and Other Drugs. “Jake and Anne get along like a house on fire,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “They’ve become extremely close. “Jake feels he can talk to Anne about anything, including his struggles with Reese. She’s been his shoulder to cry on and a great listener.” Jake and Reese started dating in March 2007 after meeting on the set of the film Rendition. “Anne was deeply shocked when Jake dumped Reese,” the source added. “She thinks Jake is so sweet. Who knows where this could lead?” Anne, 27, is currently dating struggling actor Adam Shulman.
20/11 Spall: Burton’s Alice fantastic
Timothy Spall has said viewers can expect great things from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. The British actor voices The Bloodhound in Burton’s 3-D version of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s story. Asked what the film would be like, Timothy said: “I’ve not been on set, I’ve just been in a studio doing a voice – but it being a Tim Burton film it’s going to certainly be fantastic to look at.” He continued, paying tribute to the American director: “I had a chance to work with him on Sweeney Todd. He’s a great artist and great auteur.” Also starring in the film are Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas and Helena Bonham Carter. Alice In Wonderland is due out in cinemas in March 2010.
17/11 Who wants to be ‘Spider-Man’s Black Cat?
Anne Hathaway has become the latest star to deny links to the next Spider-Man movie villain. Just days after Rachel McAdams’ representatives dismissed reports suggesting The Notebook star would be playing the evil Black Cat in Spider-Man 4, Hathaway’s aides insist she’s not considering the part either. The star’s publicist tells EW.com, “There are no negotiations underway.” Internet film gossips are now suggesting Julia Stiles is the leading lady being considered for Black Cat. Tobey Maguire will return as the big screen web-slinger in the blockbuster, which is due for release in 2011.
11/11 Anne Hathaway’s Beau to Propose?
Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend is reportedly planning to propose. Rising actor Adam Shulman — who the Devil Wears Prada star been dating for the past few months — has apparently been checking out some pricey engagement rings at a Tiffany & Co. store in lower Manhattan, New York. “He knows Anne loves Tiffany’s, so he’s working with the store to get the best ring in his price range,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. Shulman is looking to spend around $10,000. “Adam does worry about the money issue, but he really loves Anne and believes they’re meant to be together,” the source added. “He plans to propose by Christmas.”
05/11 Blunt and Krasinski reportedly plan June wedding
Having been engaged since August, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski reportedly are planning to make their union official in June 2010. British OK! Magazine which breaks the report doesn’t mention the exact date, but claims that the twosome has been planning a beach wedding and is still looking for the perfect tropical spot. “Emily’s friend Anne Hathaway will be chief bridesmaid and there will be no more than 50 guests,” an unnamed source tells the publication. Both actresses are co-stars in 2006 drama-comedy The Devil Wears Prada. Neither Emily nor John has addressed the wedding report though. Anne also has not yet confirmed if she will lend a helping hand at the celebrity couple’s nuptials should the report is proven true. John Krasinski had been dating Emily Blunt for nearly a year when they got engaged. In spite of their love relationship, they are rarely photographed together as they want to keep their love away from the spotlight.
