Steve Carell Hopes For “Get Smart 2″

Steve Carell believes Get Smart 2 will get made. The 47-year-old star – who played agent Maxwell Smart in the 2008 comedy alongside Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson – believes a follow-up will be made, providing an adequate script can be written. He said: “That’s maybe somewhere down the line as well. That’s sort of on the back-burner. I took a pass at the script for it. We’ll see. That was fun to do. But I think to make another one, it would have to be really good. I wouldn’t want to do one for the sake of doing one. I’d want to try to make it pretty special.”
